Diluting Epson's PK

Diluting Epson's PK

2015-01-21 by davidswinnard@...

What clear base is recommended for diluting Epson's PK ink?

I have a 1400 I want to dedicate to producing digital negatives for carbon transfer printing. My intention is to use either the all-black Sandy King mentions on the Carbon Transfer group, (mentioned in another thread on this group recently) or use PK and various dilutions to perhaps get an ink set suitable for printing on paper and transparency (e.g. Pictorico or Inkpress).

As this is a new endeavour (using diluted blacks) I would appreciate hearing form those with experience.

As you can see from the previous post, I use these generic bases for all the OEM inks. I've never run into a problem yet. The OEM pigs are coated, so they have their binder needed for glossy papers built in.
