Another potentially interesting material I briefly tested and profiled is Breathing Color's "Art Peel" substrate. See https://www.breathingcolor.com/art-peel .

This has a self adhesive back that is exposed by peeling off a protective layer. They had shown some being used as wall paper, and customer expressed interest, so BC sent some samples to me.

The BC page above gives a good description of it. It has a very fine cloth texture to it. Frankly, it reminds me of shelf paper in some respects. However, it's matte, and as with most matte papers, the 100% black can be subject to some rub-off.

The image quality is good. I'm showing a next-day dmax of 1.65.

For durability as wallpaper, some serious spraying or coating may be needed. I'm not sure what that will do to the image quality.

For very large display, one possible use for the material is to simply stick it to foam core and frame it.

To some extent, it might find some uses where canvas is typically used. This material will not have some of the detrimental image impact that canvas has on smaller displays.

At any rate, it's another substrate that might have uses. I've included some profiles for it in the Zip file linked to http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/7800-Glossy-Carbon-Variable-Tone-2016.pdf .
