No.  Of course the toner position would not be a useful comparison between
Piezo and the variable-tone MIS inks.  Also, the blacks are essentially (if
not actually) the same.  The cyan position would be a relevant comparison,
however.  I'll probably give that a try.

The warmth of MIS ink in the scan seems exaggerated compared to how it looks
visually.  I'm not sure why.

Could that be Metamerism caused by the light source in the scanner? Sorry,
I've not been following too much if these inks are prone to M*!
