1290 - 1280 driver for VM Inks

Hallo felow digital eyes, I would like to ask other users of Epson 1290 usíng Pauls VM-inks with the Epson 1280 drivers. I have three 1290's the one I drive with the 1280 driver went down and was replaced on warranty. (The others is used for MSI-dyeink the third for MSI-archival inks) So far I'm very happy with them. Using Pentax 35 mm and Hasselblad + a Minolta Dual Scan Multi Pro. Just for hobby - I'm over 55 now but have been photographing since I was 11 years old - can't sell - I give away for museums and friends - just for the fun. However still have my "wet" darkroom running - there are some other qualities there - but I'm impressed and happy with the "coca-cola" - hamburger way of sitting in front of my screens making great "photoes" or prints whatever you call it. Is it a photo not on silver???? Ok let's say it is pictures - wonderfull such. Soon this era will be over but museums etc here are ´very suspsius about "pizo"-pictures. But that was not the point - it was the 1290 with 1280 drivers. Are there others that have problems?? This problem may not be related to the 1280 driver - I hope! How is it going for You using the 1280 driver. Have noticed that it's best without the "Epson printer Monitor" - also it's sad to have a partition for Win 98SE to drive that VM-inks. Has someone used it in WIN XP? Would like Your opinion in this matter. Best regards Bo Wrangborg Sweden
