Digital BW, The Print

Hello, 

I am looking to purchase a matched pair of 21 inch monitors for special purposes.  I would appreciate if someone would tell me the simple reasons why one would choose a Shadow Mask vesus a Aperture Grill monitor (or vice versa).  If you can, please keep the reason in "laymen's terms."  

The monitors would be made by NEC (Accusync FlatTube), or SONY (FDTrinitron). 

Monitors specifically bought for use in the Digital Darkroom (photograph editing) and not CadCam or design.  Most work is B&W but Color is critical too.
