It's "semi - dedicated" but you don't want to really go back and
forth from Lyson to either Epson oem or MIS because they are not
compatible inks. Furthermore, it isn't a good idea to switch back and
forth on an 1160 in any event...the ink indicators are based on the
number of prints since reset (any time you remove the cart, it
resets) so you will not know you might be low on ink (a possibly
fatal situation)if you put a partially used cart in an 1160.
Now that Lyson has released bulk inks, I'm going to use up my carts
and then either dedicate a 1270 or 1160 to small gamut.
