Re: USB hubs

I run my Epson 2450 from a powered Belkin hub. As all here agree,
it's a remarkable device with acceptable speeds even with Win98se and
USB1. However, I have a USB2 card awaiting me at a local shop; among
its other virtues, the 2450 is USB2-ready. Question is, will the
increased speed carry through the hub to the scanner, or does USB2
require ahub manufactured for it?

Bob I would like to ask you what kind of speed you are getting with
that scanner? I just tried one this weekend and was extreamly
disapointed with the speed I was getting. It took 14-15 min for a
scan of 4x5 b&w neg at 45-50 meg file. I tried it on 2 diff computers
same results. Last night I reinstalled the software and hooked it
directly to the computer bypassing the hub same result.

I don't know, but on the more general Epson-Inkjet.com site, I saw
this advice in re other USB questions:

I've also seen people with usb question referred to usb.org's FAQ page.
