Re: Gamma

We switched to this a little over 2 years ago for our Macs. I feel it gives a much more accurate soft proof. (previously using 1.8 D50) It also cleared up the highlights which look a muddy yellow at D50 1.8 even if they are 255 white. OptiCal with a DTP 92 gets us there every time. We use Ektaspace as a color working space, and 2.2 gamma for greyscale images. This setup also works great with our Cone Piezo BW pro24. Dead on match right out of the box. > Many prepress Mac people are > now calibrating their monitors to 6500K gamma 2.2, Rich Seiling West Coast Imaging http://www.westcoastimaging.com
