OT - start up from disc

2002-05-08 by staetzsch

sorry for the off topic post but i know there are a lot of smart
folks
on this list who might be able to help. I need to check a possible
hard
drive problem and want to optimize and check for virus. I have mac
os9
and norton systemworks version 1. for some reason i can't boot up
from
the norton disc while holding down the c key, which i understand is a
must to use this utility. any ideas? sorry again for going off topic.

Try selecting the norton start up disk in the start up control panel. Then
restart. I've also found the C-key start up can fail if there is conflict.

It's not a trouble-shooting list (other than in re printing on an
Epsons from a Mac), but the MacEpsonList, also at Yahoo, is run by a
Mac consultant (Bill Gore), and I think you'd get some help there.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
