Mr. Kravit and I have just recently met and he is a most gracious and
knowledgeable man. Photography is his love and passion, but not his
primary profession. However his knowledge of this field rival most
professionals. Michael's kindness in sharing his knowledge have made a
difference in my life and profession. I do not understand what is going
on here as I am new at this, but from PERSONAL experience there are a
lot of folks who could learn great amounts from him. He has no ego to
massage nor axe to grind.

Yeah... a very good egg in my books.

It has become clear to me that this Kravit individual is deserving of
some kind of award or if you like, public recognition.

Time after time the name of Kravit (which in itself is a not
particularly appealing sound when rolled around the tongue) appears in
connection with some kindness or good deed (rather like Robin Hood, he
robs the knowledge rich base in our Digital B&W society and gives
abundently to the knowledge poor).

Is it not time that we introduced some kind of an " All Round Good Egg"
award for that induvidual whose personal contribution - user specific
value wise - to this list exceeds even their own estimation of it's true
worth?

My own particular salutation would read as follows:-

"In recognition of all the exceptionally good and helpful acts carried
out by brother Kravit during the period up to and including April
2001-2002, we the inhabitants of that global entity known as
'DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com award the aforementioned
brother Kravit the title of "All Round Good Egg" for his outstandingly
helpful contributions to many unnamed individuals during the
aformentioned year.

I rest my case and keep my own council, not to mention 'I await events'.

Yours sincerely

The Mighty Dickbo - protector of the flame of honesty, decency and all
round good egness.

I've seen similar situations with people who have an axe to grind; it can be
upsetting, but then look at what politicians go through on a daily basis!
But I'm sure they don't give you a private jet, so you shouldn't have to deal
with it at all.

Hang in there Mike and feel free to come back any time.

Thanks Andy,

I am not leaving only taking a less visible stance with respect to the
politics of the list.

I haven't been able to follow the list so closely of late. Could someone
succinctly explain just what the "politics" of this list are? I thought
anything to do with BW capture and printing was fair game, has that changed?

Me neither... has someone been taking pot-shots at Mike?? If so... Mike is
one of the few people I know who has tried all the BW options personally,
turned down offers of freebies from various inkjet companies because he
thought unethical, AND share his knowledge freely...

Todd,

I would have to say anything that relates to JON CONE. This is
because he believes that I have a vendetta/personal grudge against
him. NOT TRUE, but I will refrain from participating in any and all
discussions that may or may not be detrimental to his well being. ;-)
