Digital BW, The Print

I suppose this is sort of a poll, but what is the sweet spot for file dpi to
output for BW to a 4-color printer . . what are people using.   I don't see
it being less then 300dpi for photo quality, but does going beyond 360dpi
really make a difference?  I believe Epson generally says go 1/3 the output
dpi, in this case for 1440 output that would be 480 but that make for a
large file.
