I had the same problem but a tip long ago (in digi time) on this list pretty much eliminated the feed problems.
Use something hard and smooth as a burnisher (I've used a spoon, an actual bone burnisher, the edge of an exacto knife handle) and with the leading edge of the paper at the edge of a table, press down across the edge at about a 30 to 45% angle. This seems to thin the edge just enough to eliminate most feed problems with heavy paper.

  Hello all.

  This is a great group.

I am having a problem with feeding Somerset Photo Enhanced paper in my 1270.
It won't feed about 99% of the time. Epson HWM feeds fine.

Any body had the same problem

  Thanks

  EPB

Just put a thick sheet of pastebord behind the one sheet of
paper you want to print on (same format as your paper).
Works in 99%.
