Here in Milan there is a new gallery inside a large textile store, dedicated to "New photographers towards the market". I've recently seen an exhibition by Ragnar Axelsson, where all prints were simply labeled as "Digital print" (in spite of all on-list discussions about giclee, archival carbon prints, etc. :-) and were priced at 250 euros each (prints were about 13"x19"). By the way, the author wasn't there, and there was no information about the printing method, so I can't tell you more, except that the paper looked semi-gloss, and quality wasn't bad but not exceptional (I'm talking about the printing process only: some of the images were outstanding, and average was very high). I don't know about higher level galleries in town, but something is moving...
