According to a message posted on the EPSONx7x list, Mitch's server had
problems while he was on vacation, and when he returned he decided to drop
the lists. There are now several Yahoo! group lists attempting to fill in
the gap. inkjetepson, epsoninkjet and the EPSONx7x list are the major
contenders. It seems likely to me that inkjetepson and epsoninkjet will
merge into one list eventually. EPSONx7x has been around for a couple of
years and has broadened its area from the x7x printers to a general Epson
inkjet focus.

Hello;

Just trying to understand how these lists work:

If anyone can set up a list on Yahoo! with Yahoo! doing the hosting, why
would a Yahoo! list like the now defunct "Epson Inkjet List" be hosted
on someone's personal server?

The yahoo! list "epson-inkjet" was an unauthorized mirror of the
Leben list located on Leben's servers. So, when the server went
down, the yahoo!list also went with it.

There is also, for the rest of us, the MacEpsonList at Yahoo:
