Are you printing from an rgb file? You must be to use these curves, and
yes, there will be a very severe color cast that will show on the screen
when you turn one of paul's curves on, but this doesn't print.

Bernhard,

I second Jerry. Are you sure you have converted to RGB mode before applying
the curves? When you apply the neutral cool curves, the on screen image
should turn orange and have more contrast. You can't edit from that point
and this should be the last step before sending the file to the printer.

Yes sure I follow exactly the procedure as it is described on the
Workflow page of MIS. I see the heavy color cast but my prints get
just to dark except I put the curves only to 50% or so...

Well I will try to figure out what the problem is...

Bernhard,

That is mysterious then. I wish I had something more to suggest. Once you do
solve the problem please post the results of your efforts.

Thanks,
Martin Wesley

Well, I have now switched to FS neutral anyway...

The color tone of the VM was too uncontrollable for me, I need a
reliable procedure with consistent results. The FS neutral seems
quite ok to me, it could still be slightly cooler.

But even there I have to reduce the Woolf curve to something like
75%, otherwise its also too dark.

Is there something to be done with the ICC profile in the WIndows
folder? When I print I select printing space "same as source".

thanks and greetings

Bernhard
