Why no gray balancer

Why no gray balancer

2002-07-28 by Shire,Stanley

I emailed Andrew Rodney (The Digital Dog) who was one of the beta
testers for the 2200. The prints that I did with it in April were on his
beta machine. I am enclosing his reply. I respect his opinion and highly
recommend his color management course (which I took at Santa Fe
Workshops.)

Because it's software from HELL. I have a copy (I did beta on the 2200).
It
was advice from many of us that convinced the U.S. Product Manager to
toss
it.

Build a good profile.

I wonder how many of those who convinced that U.S. Product Mgr. not to
include gray balancer are in the business of providing custom
profiles....hmmm?
