Rich, looks perfect on my monitor.

EAM gives deeper blacks than any paper except the hahnemuhle papers.
Don't know about the FSN inks. THe VM inks are pretty good though.

Jerry and others,

Thanks for your responses. I think it's the matte look that I wish was
blacker, that's all. I did some of the tests suggested and all looks
fine so this is the blackest black I will get with EAM. Think I'll
try some of the hahnemuhle photo rag.

Speaking of hahnemuhle photo rag, I believe someone said that it's the
same as royal renaissance on mediastreet.com? Is this right? Or
anyone else have a suggested source at a good price?

Thanks.

Best regards,
 Richard

Richard, yes, the royal renaissance is the same as photo rag #308. Royal
Riviera is heavily textured, but also gives a very deep black. So does
wells river, but it flakes a lot.

Do you know what the other Royal papers are? I've been using Royal Plush
and I really like it, with the Gen5 inks as well as the MIS-VM inks (which
I now finally have working on my "brand new" refurbished 1270).
