I have the same problem with not a solution in sight. I tried
soaking the heads in Fantastik and have run purge patterns to
infinity. Still no black.
This is the second time it has happened. The first time, with a
slightly different problem, I replaced the whole CFS through MIS.
They covered some of the expense under warranty. That was
specifically a vacuum problem. Now it has happened again after
just a few months with the new system. It seems more like
clogging or a drying out of the ink rather than a vacuum problem
this time 'round.
My latest solution is to buy the new Epson 2200. I should get it
tomorrow. Anyone want an 1160 with clogged black?
