Eclipse Satine

I'm fairly new at all this and just starting to think about papers
in addition to EAM for MIS VM. I got a box of Brightcube Satine
Eclipse to try to duplicate the results on EAM using the Roark
curves on my 1160. I saw Paul's recommendation to use .85 on the
middle levels slider. Is that the general consensus at the present
time? Are
there any other suggestions?

Did you know that Printworks has stopped carrying Brightcube? The
page is no longer on their website. I got a confirmation from
Printworks.

Simple question -- where can I get the best price for Eclipse Satine?

inkjetgoodies.com seems to be the best place to get that stuff these
days. As I understand it, they bought the whole inventory when
brightcube went bust, and it's possible that it's being manufactured
for them now too.

The folks at inkjetgoodies promised me that the manufacturers of
Eclipse Satine (bright white) would continue to make this paper, before
I would agree to take in samples and create color management profiles
[all my efforts for Xtreme Gamut Satine are now waste...]

It is my understanding that white is the base color of a paper. Since white
is not printed, how can it fill in too much? If it starts to fill in, it is
no longer white...right?

Yes. But compared to every other paper, the very fine areas that should
be paper white, are starting to fill in, so they are no longer white.

Right. That's what I said.
