Birmy PowerRip 5?

Ok, I've acquired a FULL version copy of the Birmy Power Rip 5 ostensibly for use with my ALPS printer.. To all you RIP gurus out there... Would/should this RIP be of any utility (above and beyond the EPSON driver) in profiling inks, etc. for my EPSON and Canon printers? If so, in what way?
