The Old Posterization Problem

I have not been here to the list in some time but I wanted to see if there are any new remedies to the posterization problems. Using an 1160, no longer Cone Piezo inks, way to many problems including ruining a printer trying to get rid of the greenies, clogs and posterization. Anyway, I have been using FS Quads for awhile and I had not been having any problems. It has been eight to ten weeks since doing any printing and now I see that my midtowns are really flat. When printing the 21 step grey scale there is little differentiation in the lower mitones. No clogs or banding. Are there any new remedies for this for old printer disease?
