Paul,

Thank you once again for your ongoing testing and detailed reporting. This
one is going to be very interesting to follow and may have a real impact on
our view of carbon quad ink sets. I will stick your message in the Files
section for future reference.

Thanks also to Carl Schofield for supplying the wedges for testing.

Martin Wesley

Jerry,

I think the Gen Enhanced K still has a bit of an edge. However, after a few
months of bright light, that might not be the case. The Ultrachrome K is
the best combination of darkness and stability that I've ever seen. These
are the inks to beat at this point.

Paul, how does the blackness of the ultrachrome black ink compare with
  enhanced black?

Paul,

I'm sticking with enhanced, I think. The VM looks pretty black until you
put enhanced next to it. Besides, I don't know if the ultrachrome inks
are compatible with the VM inks...

Paul,

This is good to hear as I just put my 2000P on eBay so I can replace it
with a 2200. The main reason for the 2200 is color printing as I'm using
MIS inks on a 1280 for b/w. But I am also interested in the b/w prints I
can get out of the 2200.

Your fade tests have been of great interest to me. Thanks for all the work.
