I have had exactly the opposite experience. UPS told me they would not be
responsible for the value of my images over and above the cost to replace
the film. I spoke to FEDEx and they told me that if I could prove the value
of the film they would cover it. Proof consists of demonstrating that I get
paid for making photographs and therefore a copy of my filed taxes would be
sufficient.
