Digital BW, The Print

Had posted a question earlier that I was not getting a good head 
check on the yellow position of my 1280 using Piezotone WN inks. Just 
printed a 21 step gray scale and the first 30% is all white no steps. 
I believe that I have a clog or they didn't load up the shade of gray 
that goes where the yellow head would spray. Since I have cleaned 
heads 20+ times what should I do? 

Any help would be appreciated.

Barry,

You may be right about the clog of the yellow nozzle.  Or it may be a 
poorly filled cartridge.  When you do a nozzle chack, you do not see 
any pattern, I presume.  If so, you should return the cart to IJM. 
However, note that it is not completely uncommon to have a problem of 
your sort on occasions.  It may be worth letting the system just sit 
overnight, and try again tomorrow.  If you do so, don't subject your 
printer to another 20 cleaning cycles in a row.

If you are new to this, and do not want to risk further problems, I 
recommend you remove the WN carts, and replace them with the Epson 
OEM dye carts.  These inks, I find, are like universal cleaners.  
Also wait overnight after changing carts.  Try this first.

Just received a message from Cone inks that they are having trouble 
with the yellow nozzile position and will have the problem fixed by 
October. I guess the problem is only there if you use the pre-filled 
cartridges. After cleaning, and changing inks and flushing I am 
frustated and I guess happy to hear it's not the printer or me.
