Epson SP 2200 metamerism

Epson SP 2200 metamerism

2002-09-17 by alanjrubin

I have been using the SP 1200 very happily for some time, but
have now obtained the 2200 and am in the process of testing and
comparison. I use a wintel PC....

First, I am struck by the lack of detailed info [the EPIC facility,
which isn't much help also does not run on my PC for some reason].
Therefore, I am grateful for whatever help I can get from this forum
or any source for that matter, so please make suggestions.

I am also struck by the apparent increase in operating expense
compared to my 1200.

Further, there is the issue of the obvious metamerism which is the
main subject of this note. I have tried a little tweaking since B&W
images exhibit a very distinct magenta cast when viewed indoors.
Reducing magenta in the "Custom" setup significantly improves the
image and apparently reduced the quite green tinge seen under
daylight.

Please.......any help you all can give....etc.
