Paper?

Paper?

2002-09-20 by James Kellar

Hi all,
I'm new to the group, and just loaded my first Lyson Quadblack inks in
to my Epson 1280. I've had pretty good results being that I just
started. Now my main question is what paper do I go with. I really like
the Lyson Standard Fine Art Paper, but it is pretty expensive. Has any
one tried Somerset PE Velvet? Which is about half the price of the Lyson
paper. Also if I go with the Somerset, and can I use Lyson's profile? Or
if some one has another suggestion, I'm all ears.

Thanks
James

James,

beware of non-Lyson papers, especially the ones that look and feel like Lyson
papers. They are made by Hahnemuhle, but have a coating specifically
formulated to work with Lyson dyes which are acidic.
