Preval spray system for coatings

Preval spray system for coatings

2002-10-16 by Paul Roark

Has anyone ever used or heard about the "Preval" sprayer?

Although I'm fairly convinced the wire-wound ("Mayer") rod is the best way
to get a near perfect first coat or any water-based coat, I don't have any
interest is cleaning the rod with solvents. So, since it appears that at
least one solvent-based final coat may be needed to protect the water-based
(and ammonia/Windex sensitive and relatively tacky -- as in touch sensitive)
acrylic, I have been looking at sprays. If there were an ideal aerosol
spray, I might just stop there. However, those may not be ideal. (More on
that as I am able to get information from the sellers.) So, how to spray
whatever looks to be the best solvent-based solution is of interest.

A Golden tech rep recommended the Preval spray system. Check out
http://www.prevalspraygun.com/ This looks like a really flexible system
that would be easy to clean.
