Arches Hot Press 140, K=2.40

The latest experiment in coating uncoated cotton paper: Krylon Crystal Clear to fix pigs. Two coats of out-of-the-can polyurethane. Hair drier cuts time to minimal. Cream base (0.05 warm) looks great with matte board and does not affect midtones significantly. Prints with standard MIS VM curves. Finishes will be variable. Some graininess, but much less than Stonehenge -- may be just paper surface. Fine for large prints but probably not for 8x10. And, yes, the 100% black goes from 1.50 uncoated to 2.32 with one coat, and 2.4 with 2. Got to run. Paul http://www.PaulRoark.com
