Digital BW, The Print

Hi all,

I'm looking for the best quality scans in the Montreal area.  So far I've
found the following:

Contact Image does their highest quality scans on a flatbed -- 6400 dpi on a
Citex Eversmart.  They charge $40 for a 50 Mb scan.

Imagetech uses a Hell ChromaGraph S3010 drum scanner.  Not sure of prices
yet.

Pepinscan uses an  drum scanner from screen, and is about twice as expensive
as Contact.

Corlab (the largest) does drum scans -- not yet sure of prices or machine.


Does anyone have experience with these labs?  Or recommendations?  Contact
is closest, but I take it the flatbed is always going to be a bit of a
compromise, especially in terms of noise, no?
