Doug, Interesting. From the picture it would appear to be identical to the 2450 so the changes must be internal. The price of 52,800 Yen or $422 would indicate that the price will remain the same. The only technical info I can decipher is in the "3200 dpi". So I would guess that the 9800 is an upgraded 2450 which is good news and Epson is not abandoning that price/performance niche.
