Have you done an alignment check?  It is accessed via the Epson driver.

And I thought I knew all the cures...!
I have a friend who changed to the new piezo inks for his 1160 with CIS and
has had a slight banding problem even after getting clean nozzle checks. He
had no previous problem with his CIS rig and piezo. He's tried all known
remedies.  Can a nozzle check seem OK yet have a slight "off" jet.  What
other variables besides nozzles, air bubbles, ink feed, can be checked? I'm
getting ready to install the same for myself and would like a heads-up in
case I have the same problem. BTW I have a vague recollection of some
mention about the paper itself having irregularities that causes slight
banding.
