Miguel: I don't know why it should be "uncool" to share information, ever.
If I see your post on another list, I'll just delete. If you've posted to
another list I don't happen to receive, I've had the benefit of your
experience on this one. Please try not to be too vulnerable to somebody
else's idea of "cool" or "uncool."

On the subject of Ultrachrome, I just purchased a 2200 and have run a
couple of test prints. The printer comes with a few samples of actual
printout. The color shot on the photo glossy paper clearly shows this
so-called metamerism, AKA bronzing, AKA all sorts of other things. The
point is that the blackest blacks become reflective from certain angles.
It's disconcerting, and would rule out the use of the high-gloss papers for
me, for anything but a higher-key image with no deep blacks. But there was
no sign of the problem on the Premium Luster paper, the semi-glossy, or (of
course) the matte samples.

Bronzing and metamerism are not the same things at all.  If you search some
archives you can find out what matamerism really is and also good
descriptions of 'bronzing'.
