7000 vs. 7600

7000 vs. 7600

2002-11-27 by Bill Giffen

I have been using the 7k for 6-8 months with IP4 then I had a need for a
7600 and color. Now using the 7600 and IP5 and all I can say is wow. Great
detail, color sats, matches very well. The black and white I am still not
sure. I just tried my 7k and Ip5 but must be having some profile issues,
step wedge looks ok but prints lack detail and I know just how well the 7k
printed with IP4. It looks as if the 7k might give more gray points than the
7600. I would say the tint picker is an advantage. I hope to get to the
bottom of the 7k problem soon and make some side by side comparisons.

Anyone using the 7k and IP5 please send me an email

I've been using it with my 7000 since August on a mac...works fine...aside
from still waiting for new Piezotone profiles.
