How does being able to understand someone's diction help in being a photographer? If you mean that you must be able to understand the message of his written words that is one thing. But there are deaf photographers and non-English speaking ones who do not understand Dylan. At his concert I could not make out the words he was saying nor can I on some of his recorded songs. How does that make me less of a photographer? As a songwriter he is talented and truly visionary. As a big Byrds fan how could I not like his writting. Taste has nothing to do with being able to understand someone's pronouciation. Please clarify how much deeper is the need to be able to understand Dylan's singing (not his songs but his singing) in order to be a good photographer?
