About those suggestions to buy photoshop LE.

keep in mind that many of the devices suggested to buy, like the good
scanner or epson printer comes with it (bundled.) so check it out before you
actually buy the program.

One thing to consider as you go through all the photos. Stuff that has no
meaning to you, or even your mother for that matter could have some
fascinating information to historians. Call your library for contact with
any local history society especially if you have a stack you are considering
tossing out. The photo of the guy nobody knows could be some original
settler, or that car is the first one in the county, that store or farm
house is now where the shopping mall is. Even if your collection has no
hidden treasure, you could probably pick up a world of information about the
images, their context, and perhaps someone with a darkroom.

now lets talk about this Stupid Annoying self esteem issue....

Not LE, Photoshop ELEMENTS! LE isn't much good in comparison.
