Until recently the Epson Perfection 2450 seemed to be the flatbed of
choice. Excellent scanning of transparencies up to 4x5" at 2400dpi
and reasonable price are the main reasons for this. It's discontinued
and is to be replaced by the new 3200 model within a month, so I
would wait for that.
