posterized prints with ps/7 and quad inks

I can not find a workflow for the 1280 that yeilds good results.I am using MIS VM, PR curves, EAM, and PS/7, my prints looked posterized in the 70-80% tones. With BO I don't have this problem but then I have obvious dots in the highlights. Any good answer?
