Lack of page positioning with IP RIP 5.0 and the 2200

2003-03-17 by robert von sternberg

Last friday I purchased the ColorByte ImagePrint 5.0
RIP to solve the metamerism problem associated with my
2200. The IP RIP does what Epson should have done in
the first place. BUT today when printing 11x17
photorag the IP/RIP would show a centered image and
then deliver information to the printer that ended in
9x12 images printed on the edge of the paper. Anyone
out there know how to cure this? ALSO the printer does
not always respond to the IP/RIP and sometimes
requires manual depressing of the paper button on the
2200 to initiate paper feeding. Hummmmmmmmm? Help
appreciated.

Robert,

This is a known bug with Imageprint. Be sure to get an upgrade or return the
software before your 30 days is up. I have found myself at the center of a
rather heated discussion of Colorbyte's policies in the Yahoo [Imageprint]
group. If you want to go through it (I don't again), search that group for
messages from me. Caveat Emptor.

For your paper feed problems I've seen people mention to make sure that the
"Sheet" checkbox is checked in the setup options which you get to from the
print dialogue box.

Although I've never experienced a problem with this unchecked others have
and report that this solves the problem.
