Digital BW, The Print

I have downloaded the english language version of the
Epson 1290 drivers, but don't really know what I am
doing.  So before I do something stupid, would someone
who has done this please take the time to tell me just
how to do it, or even if I should bother.  What about
the greybalancer and the ink monitor issues?  Must the
1280 drivers be deleted or can you just switch back
and forth between them as needed?
