Red River Paper Question

Red River Paper Question

2003-03-19 by Thom Jackson

Are any of the Red River papers rebranded? It they are do you have any idea
who manufactures some of the papers? Any thoughts on Red River for use
with either dye or pigment inks?
Thanks.

Why not call Red River and ask for some sample sheets. I can tell you
that the 60 lb Polar Matt and 76 lb Premium Matt are pretty fair
substitues for EAM. The 76 lb Premium Matt is warmer than the 60 lb
Polar Matt. Both are medium weight papers, heavier than EAM/EEM. The
76 lb Premium Matt is available in Panoramic sizes (13x38 inches.)

Stay away from the 47 lb matt paper, it sucks IMHO.

Don,
Thanks, I actually have their sample pack and I was trying to figure out
if I had seen the paper before under a different brand. Several of the papers
are interesting but I haven't tested them yet. I thought if I could get an idea of
the manufacturer I could come a little closer to profiles I already have.
Thanks.
