inks arrive...good BZ manners with MIS

2003-04-11 by Lyons Cox

Just got a mixed order of inks from MIS (vm and perpetual) and the bottles have a 'use by' date (a year out) along with the label. Thought this was a nice touch and helpful when one has several 4oz bottles (so as to not run out).

They have also included a note "Mar. 9, 2003 - Lc & Lm replace Pc & Pm...because of the light black and photo black inks in our 7600 inksets, we have decided to fall in line with the rest of the industry and call our light cyan and magenta inks Lc and Lm instead of Pc and Pm. This does not sound like a big deal, but there are thousands of places on our site and in our documentation that PC and PM are referenced. It will take a while to get them all converted to LC and LM. if you see these designations on your ink bottles, but order or documentation refers to PC and PM, do not be alarmed, it is the same ink. LC = PC and Lm = PM.

Typos, if any are mine. I share this because I think they've demonstrated good business manners and sometimes it's nice to recognize ahead of your ordering changes occurring.

Sincerely,
Cleavis
