Sounds like the machine has reach the ink pad replacement point..


Turn the power OFF. Press and hold the Load/Eject and Cleaning buttons
while you tun ON the power. Release both buttons when the Paper Out LED
is flashing. Press and hold the Cleaning button for at least 10 seconds.

I just had the maintenance done on my 1160. The authorized service center
gets the new pads, installs them and resets the counter. The machine will
not print until this is done. Oh yeah, it does start counting again. The guy
I use is here in NJ and I think he's a genius with these printers.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
