Thank you. A rose by any other name is still a rose. An image captured by a
box with sensors or film when a button is pressed is still a photograph by
any name you want to call it. It seems like the problem is how it's
translated to the viewing medium. It really doesn't make any difference. A
painting can be a work of art whether oils, acrylics, water colors etc. Why
is a photograph different? Because the people who print it feel guilty
because they don't use the "accepted" traditional methods? Art is dynamic
otherwise it loses it's purpose. We would still be doing cave paintings if
the criteria was earth color on walls. Isn't it amazing that they still
exist and the folks who made them couldn't care less...I believe. If the
purchaser doesn't treat the photo properly it will look like those old
photos that are degraded. There is a mutual responsibility by the seller and
the buyer. I won't suffer guilt for mistreatment of my stuff!
