I am working on y stylus 1160 with MS FS neutral, after a relatively inactive period with little photo printing with the same ink bottles since more than 1y at least. Is it too long? I am getting clogged nozzles regulary, a nozzle cleaning cycle will purge it again, then after a short while it starts again - could it be the ink is become too thick? thanks in advance, Bernie

I would think MIS would be the one to say, but you can anticipate their answer. Consider this: even Epson has a shelf life for their cartridges. Even after they are open, they recommend use of no longer than six months. Keep in mind that plastic is not a true solid. Although it happens slowly, it is permeable. My guess is that they are gelling up just a little.

Maybe this snippet on return of merchandise policy from the MIS website could help: "Refunds on unused ink and cartridges will be pro rated based on per cent of life (24 months) left when received. The calculation of percent of life left will be based on the invoice date and the date returned goods arrived at MIS." Cheers, Andre

Even more to the point, bottles of MIS-FSN I received recently bear the mention: "Use before JULY 2005" Andre --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "sceptre12345" <am1000@v...> wrote: > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Seth Rossman" > <seth@m...> wrote: > > I would think MIS would be the one to say, but you can anticipate > their > > answer. > > Maybe this snippet on return of merchandise policy from the MIS > website could help: > > "Refunds on unused ink and cartridges will be pro rated based on per
