Re: [Digital BW] Brightcube Eclipse Paper
2003-07-15 by John/Julie Gittins
John, After my 2-week and 2-month 'South Window' torture tests (v.bright sunlight, large temp & humidity changes), the Eclipse BW (bright white) showed a very small amount of yellowing, which was likely due to the burn-off of the optical brightener. The amount of brightener is said to be small (per manufacturer's statement), and Paul Roark has mentioned that his research indicates that the brightener burns off completely quite quickly. I found no difference in 2-week vs. 2-month results, which supports Paul's claim. John Gittins

Subject: [Digital BW] Brightcube Eclipse Paper
Can anyone tell me if the Old Brightcube 300g double sided paper has
optical brighteners in it and if so, will this cause an archival
problem. Was there a serious flaking problem. I'm looking for an
affordable SMOOOOOTH paper ARCHIVAL 100%Cotton on 17X22 size.

I've searched the archive without success.
