Digital BW, The Print

I continue to follow with avid interest the spirited discussions 
regarding print quality and the various approaches for obtaining 
neutral BW prints from the 2200. The knowledge base here is  
incredible and challenging to get a grip on. I do have a 
tangential question though. Is there any experience and/or 
information on the suitability of the 2200 for making digital 
negatives? Also, a follow along question, a comparison of the 2200 v. 
1280 for making those Burkholder type digital negatives.  For me, I 
still see a little something special in a luminous 8x10 Azo in 
amidol/dektol and wouldn't be adverse to making some again. (Kodak's 
future halide plans notwithstanding!).Different medium I know, but 
that's just me.
