Yahoo Changes coming in one week #### please read

Yahoo Changes coming in one week #### please read

2003-08-15 by Tom OConnell

Hi everyone-

Yahoo is making some changes in a week that will have little effect
on most of us.

1- they will no longer support attachemtns to emails (if you want to
show a photo or a screen shot, you will have to upload to PHOTOS)

2- only members can view photos and files (no impact to you yet).

3- you must have signed up for web membership even if you receive
only emails from the list to either view or upload photos...this
could be important. If you have doubts about your status, check this
link: http://help.yahoo.com/groups/groups-59.html

Cheers,

tom

Tom,

These changes by Yahoo should not effect this group, Digital B&W, The
Print. We have the group set to "No Attachments" and members cannot
upload to the Photos section.

The group is set so that only group members can post but anyone can
read the messages. However, to have the posts sent to you as e-mail
you had to be a member to set that up. So I don't think anyone should
see any changes to this group. However, given Yahoo's performance in
the past we will have to wait and see.

If anyone has any problems after the change let me know.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
