Very new. Looking for a cure for ignorance.

Reading through this thread, I see that I am completely out of my
league. Perhaps someone could dumb down enough to have a
conversation with me about my first steps into B&W printing. Here is
my situation in brief:
I know that my equipment is in most ways inadequate. I am hoping
that it will at least be useful as a learning tool. I recently
bought an Epson C82 printer, not with photo printing in mind, but
rather because it was $40 after rebate. For the money, the quality
surprised me. I remembered reading about quadratone inks and it
occurred to me that I might be able to achieve passable results while
learning the process.
Does anyone know if the quadratone inks will work with the C82? I
saw the printer listed on the MIS website but I don't see quadratone
inks listed for it, nor do I see workflow information.
I have Photoshop 7 and am a fair hand with it, though not nearly to
the level of technical expertise that I see expressed here.
Any opinions? Am I completely wasting my time?

There are some articles on my web site with some good basic
information to help get started.

Mac Users, driver help

2003-08-26 by Hans Nohlberg

Hi all Macs,

Can anyone tell me how I can get an Epson 7500 to run with a 7000
driver in OS 9.2.2?
Have examined the extensions but can't find any solution. The printer
is only responding on the 7500 extension and in the Epson folder I
can't see any solutions either.
TIA
Hans
