Digital BW, The Print

I recently installed a Niagara III CIS and MIS Ultra-Tones on my
daughter's 1160 which had been running the MIS VM inkset. A nozzle check
and two cleanings had it ready to go. She has since had only one episode
of clogging which happened suddenly in the middle of making a series of
prints and seemed to block nearly nozzle. It took several head cleanings
to clear.

I just installed a Niagara III CIS and Ultra-Tones on my 1160 which had
also been running MIS VM and printing perfectly for several months. On
the first nozzle check of my 1160 with Ultra-Tones nearly every nozzle
must have been blocked. I have done about 25 cleanings and one 30 minute
Windex soak which improved the pattern somewhat. I am now in the process
of an overnight head soak with Windex.

Has the switch to Ultra-Tones from VM been a problem for anyone else? It
makes me wonder if there was trash in the CIS system prior to installing
the ink.
