$$value of inkjet vs darkroom prints &editions

2003-09-01 by lovelipp

I exhibit my B&W carbon prints the same as I did my etchings - in a
limited edition. The buyer wants to know if what s/he's paying for is
a mass market item or exists in a limited number. Of course there's
always that euphemism "artists proof" (AP) which shows up in all
print media and multiple castings of sculpture. I make an edition and
stick to it, with a couple of AP's.My reputation as an ethical artist
is more important than a few more sales.

I am awed by the generosity of you all in sharing information and
ideas. Best to all, Arlene
